This section of the website is here to provide a place to see what has been updated on the site recently. It is a good idea to check out this page upon your return visits. If there are any important announcements to be made, you will find those on the Welcome page when you first visit the website.

August 2009

The Chicago White Sox beat the Baltimore Orioles 4 to 1 on Saturday, August 22nd. The gang from Irish Times hopped on a bus and enjoyed the game (along with the nice weather) that weekend. Check out the photos from that event, including fireworks, in the White Sox section of the website.

The First Annual Rib Fest was held at the Irish Times on August 1st. There were ribs, beef brisket, and pulled pork on the men with all the trimmings. The evening went into the full swing with music by The Affects. Check out the latest image gallery when you visit Rib Fest 2009.

July 2009

Starting this month the Irish Times is proud to launch its new Email Newsletter using iContact. There will be a newsletter sent at the start of every month with a complete list of events and activities. Once or twice an Email Blast may be sent with a reminder about an upcoming event or other newsworthy information. If you have not seen the newsletter in a while, then please use the sign-up form to the right to get in the know.

June 2009

The Irish Times Pub is currently in the process of upgrading the system used to send out the Email Newsletter and Email Blast updates every month. Anyone who is a current subscriber on or before June 15th had their email address updated in the new system. After June 15th new subscribers should use the new form in the sidebar to sign-up. A message will be sent to everyone in the database letting them know of the change. If you have any questions, please use the Contact Form to get in touch.

May 2009

Mouth-watering Roasted Pig Dinners were served up to those who stopped by on Saturday, May 16th during the Fourth Annual Pig Roast. You can check out the top 130 pictures from that day in the 2009 Pig Roast image gallery or you can order photos from the event by visiting the Network XXIII Digital Image Gallery and look for Pig Roast 2009.

On Saturday, May 9th the Irish Times featured Karaoke and Flying High Fundraiser. A great time was hand by all, except for the ghosts. Check out the new image gallery for Karaoke with Fundraiser.

April 2009

Yes, John Staunton is back from Ireland and playing at the Irish Times! It was a great night for everyone. Check out the second appearance in the new John Staunton Live! image gallery. Thanks to all who came out to attend the April Irish Music Meetup Group with Kathleen O' Conner and Paddy Homan.

March 2009

The Irish Times Pub ventured out into the great city of Chicago and participated in the first ever Irish Times Float for the Chicago Irish Parade on Saturday, March 14th. The top 110 pictures from that day are included in the Special Events section of the website.

February 2009

A great evening was had by all that came out to attend the Irish Pub Music Meet Up held in the Cottage at Irish Times. A word of thanks to Cliff Carlson from the Irish American News for posting a few of the pictures from that evening. A huge thank you goes to Kathleen O Connor for hosting the evening and great job on her presentation.

January 2009

Friends from near and far joined the Irish Times Pub this month to listen to John Staunton Live from Ireland. Music featured included songs from John's newest CD titled Starting Over. There will be another visit schedule for April of this year.

November 2008

On Saturday, November 8th the Irish Times Pub hosted its first ever Chicago Irish Pub Music Meet Up with music by Paddy Homan & Friends. A huge "thank you" goes out to Kathleen O' Connor for organizing the event and Martin Lynch for hosting. The top 120 pictures taken late that night can be found in a new section called Irish Pub Meet Up under Special Events. The page include a link with a video clip posted on You Tube from the night.

The ghosts and cheerleaders may be gone, but the spirit and excitement from the 2008 Halloween Bash at Irish Times is still around. Check out the top 200 pictures from the great party that took place on Halloween.

October 2008

Check out the Irish Times Pub being featured on 24/7 Chicago that appears after SNL on Saturday night. Look at the Full Episode for October 4th.

Once again Notre Dame beat Stamford 28 to 21 on Saturday, October 4th. The Irish Times bus trip was a day unlike any other with great people, good times, and perfect weather! The newest image gallery for ITPubEvents.com is now available under the Notre Dame section of the website.

September 2008

By far the 2008 Oyster Festival was an event not to be missed this year at Irish Times! Everyone that came out had a great time with friends new and old joined by great company. The food was well received until every last oyster was eaten. Take a moment and check out the pictures taken during that day when you visit the Annual Oyster Festival section of the website.

July 2008

A word of "thanks" to everyone that came out to support the Fundraiser for Kip on Saturday, July 26th In the Beer Garden and Cottage at the Irish Times. A link to the event's website can be found under the Special Events section in the navbar. Please check out the pictures from that eventful day.

May 2008

This year was not to be out done as the Irish Times Pub held its Third Annual Pig Roast on Saturday, May 17th. The Coyote Roadhouse BBQ Team was back with their mouth-watering pig and international award winning BBQ Sauce to go with this year's pig. Check out the 2008 Pig Roast image gallery for pictures from that day. Don't forget to visit the Coyote Roadhouse BBQ website for more pictures of the setup and cooking of the pig itself.

March 2008

Thanks to all that came out over the St. Patrick's Day weekend to celebrate this awesome time of year. There were 330 pictures taken on Monday, March 17th and the top 295 are now available in the 2008 St. Patrick's Day Celebration image gallery. The pictures in the slides are available for download at no charge. If you wish to get a better quality picture, then use the email address provided on the Reminder Cards given out during the event.

January 2008

Happy New Years to everyone! The official 2008 Pocket Calendar from Irish Times is available for download from the sidebar. The document is setup for a regular 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper. If you want the actual pocket size, then ask your server or bartender for one the next time you stop in Irish Times before they run out!

Congratulations to Strange Bedfellows the 2007 Team of the Year for the Pub Quiz and Mac Attack - the 2007 Team of the Year for the Trivia Contest. Be sure to download the latest schedule (found on the sidebar) from John "Teamquizmaster" Sheer for upcoming dates.

Due to excessive messaging to certain email accounts from this website, a few modifications were put in to effect. September 2007

Another great year has gone by and another milestone has been marked. The Fourth Annual Oyster Festival was held on Saturday, September 15th. There were 220 pictures taken during the event and the top 190 pictures made it to the website.

This year was very special as all four of the Oyster Queens were around to pose for a picture. In addition, Ireland's great boxing champ Henry Coyle joined the festivities late into the night. A great time had by all!

August 2007

The return of the very popular band know as The Affects returned to the Irish Times. No pictures were taken of the group this year, however you can view a couple of their past performances from the prior years.

July 2007

A first for the Village of Brookfield is the Music Fest that brought 12 bars together, including the Irish Times, with lots of good time and great music. Since this was a joint-theme and not exclusive to Irish Times, no pictures were taken during the event.

June 2007

The Special Events and Annual Events sections have been updated according the frequency of the event, whether it occurs on an annual basis or infrequent or one-time basis.

The Photo Order Form was removed from the sidebar; however it is still accessible on the individual image gallery pages. The weekly schedule for the Pub Quiz - Trivia Contest is now available for download from the sidebar.

The 2007 Blues Festival pictures are available on the website. The music featured in the movie is from the previous recording of the band playing at a prior event.

May 2007

The fun never stops at the Irish Times and the weekend of May 19th just proves that without a doubt. The second annual Pig Roast took place when the weather was perfect and the music had people dancing in the Beer Garden. A word of thanks to Andy from the Gentlemen's Club Bluegrass Band for providing the background music that is heard in the movie.

April 2007

The Irish Times in conjunction with the Brookfield Jazz Society hosted the second Jazz-o-Rama on Saturday, April 21st. The event featured music by the Standard Jazz Quartet and a visit by the Guinness Girls.

Starting this month a new process is available for ordering pictures from the website. A Photo Order Form created by Higher Learning Studios is available on this website. The form can be downloaded using the link provided in the sidebar, or from any of the image gallery pages.

March 2007

This month the Brookfield Jazz Society was proud to host their Second Anniversary Party at Irish Times featuring music by the J3 Intent. To honor this landmark event, an image gallery has been added to the Inside Irish Times section with the top 25 pictures from that evening.

The Official Countdown to St. Patrick's Day has been updated and moved to the Image Theater.

The St. Patrick's Day Image Gallery has been updated for 2007... enjoy.

At the beginning of the month... the Irish Times Image Gallery website was overhauled. All the image galleries now feature the "Photo Album" layout that allows a person to see all the thumbnails at once, check out each picture individually or use the slide show along with easier downloads of pictures.

All of the pictures featured on the site are saved at 640 x 480 at medium resolution with the Irish Times tag at the bottom. These pictures are available for download at no charge as your own personal souvenir. If you aren't sure what pictures you are looking for, then do not forget that the Overview page has an outline of all the image galleries available.

The majority of the image galleries have a corresponding movie, or slide show with background music. Not all of the pictures that are displayed in the image gallery are used in the movies on some of the larger events for sake of file size. February 2007

This month we feature the pictures taken from the 2007 Super Bowl party held at the Irish Times. Everyone came out to enjoy watching the the game on the big 7' x 10' screen and ate from the large buffet. Prizes were raffled off during the half-time show. Pictures can be found under the Super Bowl section under Special Events.

January 2007

The Affects were in playing during the first weekend of the New Year. No pictures were taken since they are covered during the August performance.

Check out the Bears NFC party that was held inside the Cottage.

November 2006

It is official! The Irish Times in Brookfield celebrated 15 years in November. The party was nothing less than a fun-filled evening with plenty of food, drinks, and good times to talk about over the years. The top 120 pictures can be found in the 15th Year Anniversary Party image gallery.

This month we kick off with a treat from the Halloween 2006 Party at Irish Times. The event took place on Saturday, October 28th. The event included trick 'n treats for the kids during the Village's Monsters on Main Street and a great Halloween Bash for all the party-ghouls that came out that evening.

Note: The 2006 Oyster Festival Image Gallery was updated on October 1st with a new movie (smaller file size) and an updated image gallery. Any direct links to the individual pages or pictures will not work unless you go through the main page.

The first Sunday in October was the Second Annual Oktoberfest for Irish Times. The weather could not have been more perfect for this event. This event has the top 50 pictures online ready for your viewing pleasure.

September 2006

It is finally here... the 2006 Guinness Oyster Festival Image Gallery! This is by far one of the largest sets of pictures from just one event. There were 200 pictures taken during the event and over 150 of them were put online. Yes, there is even a movie to go with all that.

This event is also a first for this site as a new layout is being tested. It provides a little different layout than the other image galleries so the navigation is easier and the time it takes to load pictures is reduced. Check it out and let us know what you think.

August 2006

Back and better than ever for their sixth appearance... The Affects! This band rocked around the clock until 1 a.m. Everyone had a swinging time and a few even had some great souvenirs to take home as well. Check out the The Affects in 2006 image gallery.

This year's annual trip to the White Sox game on July 22nd was a lot of fun, except for when the Sox lost to the Texas Rangers. Check out the trip photos from this year's event with fireworks under the White Sox image gallery.

This year the Irish Times had their very first float in the annual Brookfield Fourth of July Parade. Pictures can be seen in the Fourth of July 2006 image gallery.

June 2006

For the June monthly event, the Irish Times held the Berghoff Blues Festival with a band that played during the Big Easy Fundraiser, which was held in February. This event was not covered and therefore no image gallery was created.

May 2006

A first for The Irish Times... Pig Roast 2006, which was held on May 20th, had great weather, great food, and fun times for everyone. The top 30 pictures from the event have been loaded to the Pig Roast section under Special Events.

The very successful Jazz-O-Rama was held on April 22, 2006 inside the main bar at Irish Times. The event was co-hosted by the Brookfield Jazz Society, Windy City Jazz, and Irish Times. The image gallery has been updated under the Special Events section.

Don't have anything to do on a Tuesday night? Wondering what Trivia Night is all about? The answers to those questions are in the Inside Irish Times section under Quiz - Trivia Night. That image gallery shows the loyal fans that showed up during a recent Tuesday Trivia Night that was held inside the Cottage.

March 2006

If you can read this, then you know that the St. Patrick's Day pictures have been loaded to the site. The section includes a few pictures from 2005 as well as 2006. If you missed the grand announcement about when the latest image gallery was added, then be sure visit the Newsletter page and read more about how to be the first to know when the site is updated!

February 2006
This month we have added pictures from the Super Bowl event and the Guinness Toast. The latest image gallery features the Big Easy Fundraiser, which has 100 pictures on display. All of these image galleries can be found under the Special Events section of the website.

At this time only the Big Easy Fundraiser slide show has pictures resized to a screen resolution of 800 x 600. All other slide shows are resized to 1024 x 768. Eventually all the slide shows will be resized to the smaller resolution in order to cut down on download times.

As this is a brand new website, the only thing to report as being new is everything! We encourage you to flip through the various image galleries on display and tell us what you think. Send your comments using our new Contact Form. This section will be updated as new image galleries are added or the General Information section has been modified.
